At the helm of the Vijay Kiran Educational Trust, the parent body of National Centre for Excellence (NCFE) Schools, stand two dynamic forces: Neelappa Vijaya Kumar, the chairman, and Kiran Vijay, vice-chairperson and strategic torchbearer of the next generation.
Visionary leadership
An educationist, entrepreneur and changemaker, Neelappa Vijaya Kumar has built a multifaceted conglomerate spanning education, real-estate and hospitality. His journey from humble beginnings exemplifies how a purpose-driven enterprise.
As chairman of the Vijay Kiran Group, Vijaya Kumar has shaped NCFE Schools as a brand synonymous with quality, discipline and holistic learning. His belief: "The journey must be as enriching as the destination."
Under his leadership, NCFE Schools educate thousands of students across its CBSE campuses in CV Raman Nagar and Indiranagar, plus a school in Mandur. His philanthropic commitment shines through KRLS Public School, providing quality education to underprivileged students and various women empowerment initiatives.
Recently honoured with the 'Visionary Leadership in Entrepreneurship' award, Vijaya Kumar represents leaders who measure success in lives transformed, not just profits earned.
Future driven
Carrying forward this legacy is Kiran Vijay, a fourth-generation educator and global thinker. As the vice-chairperson of NCFE Schools, he has modernised the institution's academic and digital landscape — implementing AI-enabled smart classrooms and ATAL Tinkering Labs that promote experiential learning.
"We're not building tech schools," Vijay explains. "We're building schools that use technology to amplify human potential."
A passionate advocate for sports and co-curricular excellence, he ensures that the NCFE Schools students are well-rounded, resilient and globally aware — not just academically proficient.

Looking ahead, NCFE Schools's roadmap is ambitious, yet grounded. Plans include expanding to additional campuses while maintaining stringent quality controls, establishing teacher training academies to address India's educator shortage and creating integrated learning ecosystems that combine education with technology and sustainable development.
