RADIO JBN
The key benefits of a school radio are builds confidence, develops speaking and listening skills, improving literacy, and gives students a voice and empowerment.

Radio JBN is a School Radio station run by the students and for the students to build an inclusive atmosphere in the school. Radio is all about communication and running a radio show takes commitment and teamwork in order for it to be a success. Our systems are easy enough to use that all students, regardless of age or ability can get involved.
ASSEMBLY
Conducting class-wise assembly based on a particular theme is one of the most exciting thing to look forward. Every assembly is conducted based on a theme for which a particular class becomes the host. They present the theme in creative ways along with the assembly. This gives a lot of learning opportunities and aids develop enormous social skills.

STUDENTS’ CORNER
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes, and art is knowing which ones to keep.
Our recent trip to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was an unforgettable experience that ignited our passion for space exploration. We embarked on a captivating journey, exploring various exhibits that unveiled he wonders of space technology. One of the highlights was witnessing colossal marvels like INSAT satellites. These marvels of engineering play a crucial role in communication, allowing us to connect with loved ones across vast distances and receive vital information. We learned about the intricate workings of these satellites, from their powerful antennas that beam signals across the globe to the sophisticated solar panels that provide them with clean energy.
Beyond communication, we delved into the fascinating world of Earth observation satellites. These incredible machines act as our planet's watchful eyes, constantly monitoring its health. We learned how these satellites capture detailed images of Earth's surface, allowing us to track changes in forests, oceans, and weather patterns. This information is crucial for environmental protection, disaster management, and sustainable development.
Our curiosity was particularly piqued by the concept of geosynchronous satellites. Unlike their Earth-orbiting counterparts, these satellites appear to hover over a fixed point on the equator. This unique positioning allows them to provide continuous coverage for a specific region, making them ideal for applications like communication and weather forecasting.
The trip wasn't just about marveling at the finished products. We also gained valuable insights into the challenges of space exploration. Space is a harsh environment, characterized by extreme temperatures and radiation. We learned about the innovative solutions engineers employ to overcome these challenges, such as using lightweight and heat-resistant materials in spacecraft design.
During our visit, ISRO's dedication to space exploration was truly inspiring. We had the privilege of witnessing the work of talented scientists and engineers who are relentlessly pushing the boundaries of human knowledge. Their dedication and ingenuity pave the way for exciting advancements space exploration, opening doors to a deeper understanding of our universe.
A Glimpse Inside ISRO :
While specific areas may vary based on security protocols and ongoing projects, here's a peek into some potential highlights:
Space Simulation Chamber: Immerse yourself in the science behind space travel. Witness firsthand how satellites endure the harsh environment of space through simulations of extreme temperatures and radiation.
Mission Control Center: Observe the nerve center of a space mission. Witness the dedication of scientists and engineers as they meticulously monitor spacecraft and track their journeys across the vast expanse of space.
These are just a few examples, and your school trip itinerary might reveal even more fascinating areas. Regardless of the specific locations you visit, one thing is certain: your ISRO trip will be an enlightening journey that ignites your passion for space exploration and leaves you with a newfound appreciation for the brilliance of Indian science and technology.

Dance is what I breathe! by Varshini Ramesh
Here, I invite you to embark on a soul-stirring journey through the enchanting world of Bharatanatyam. As a fervent practitioner and admirer of this ancient Indian classical dance form, I am excited to share my profound love and understanding of Bharatanatyam with you. Join me as we explore the intricacies, beauty, and cultural significance of Bharatanatyam, and delve into the transformative power of movement and expression.
Exploring the Roots:
Bharatanatyam, originating in the temples of Tamil Nadu, holds a sacred place in Indian culture and history. Rooted in the Natya Shastra, an ancient treatise on performing arts, Bharatanatyam is not merely a dance form but a spiritual journey that encompasses storytelling, music, rhythm, and devotion. Its origins can be traced back to the Devadasi tradition, where dancers would perform as an offering to the divine.
Technical Brilliance:
Central to Bharatanatyam is its intricate and expressive repertoire of movements, known as adavus, which are meticulously choreographed and executed with precision. From the graceful movements of the eyes and hands to the intricate footwork and dynamic body postures, Bharatanatyam demands a high level of skill, discipline, and dedication from its practitioners. Each movement, gesture, and expression is imbued with meaning and symbolism, allowing the dancer to convey stories, emotions, and philosophical concepts with profound depth and artistry.
Spiritual Essence:
At its core, Bharatanatyam is a spiritual practice that seeks to evoke a divine connection through dance. Through the performance of traditional compositions (padams, javalis, and varnams), dancers embody various characters, deities, and mythical narratives, transporting both themselves and the audience to a realm of transcendent beauty and spiritual bliss. The rhythmic patterns (tala) and melodic structures (raga) of Carnatic music further enhance the spiritual experience, creating a harmonious union of sound and movement.
Preserving Tradition:
In today's rapidly changing world, preserving and promoting traditional art forms like Bharatanatyam is more important than ever. As a custodian of this ancient heritage, I am committed to passing on the legacy of Bharatanatyam to future generations. Through teaching, performances, and community outreach initiatives, I strive to instill a deep appreciation for the beauty, cultural significance, and spiritual essence of Bharatanatyam, ensuring that it continues to thrive and inspire for years to come.
As I conclude, I hope you have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for this exquisite art form. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a curious enthusiast, may Bharatanatyam continue to enrich your life with its timeless beauty, profound spirituality, and boundless creativity. Let us dance together, celebrating the rich tapestry of tradition and culture that defines Bharatanatyam and ignites the soul with joy and reverence.
