Partnering with Parents: Nurturing Every Child, Together

Each day, children step into school not just with books and bags, but with questions, hopes, dreams, and untapped potential. As teachers, we are fortunate to witness the many dimensions of their school life — from moments of discovery and creative expression to friendships formed, challenges overcome, and silent acts of kindness. But we also understand that, for parents, much of this remains unseen. The true essence of school life— the growth beyond grades — can sometimes feel distant.

This is why we are committed to building a stronger bridge between home and school. We believe that learning goes beyond academics; it includes shaping character, nurturing emotional well-being, encouraging curiosity, and building life skills that prepare students for the real world. Through Life Skills classes, co-curricular activities, group projects, and value-based learning, our students are constantly developing confidence, empathy, resilience, and teamwork — essential qualities that will serve them navigate well beyond the classroom.

We make it a point to celebrate more than just marks. Consistent effort, creativity, problem- solving, leadership, kindness, and personal improvement are all deeply valued and regularly acknowledged. Every child’s journey is unique, and it is our endeavour to ensure that each one feels seen, appreciated, and empowered. Milestones, big and small, are recognised because we know that progress isn’t always measured in numbers.

To keep parents meaningfully connected, we provide multiple avenues for communication. From regular newsletters and monthly V Konnect sessions to parent-teacher interactions and school events, we strive to give you a clear window into your child’s school experience. These platforms offer insights into what your child is learning, the values being instilled, and the skills being nurtured — helping you stay engaged and informed.

We deeply value the partnership we share with our parent community. Your trust, feedback, and involvement enrich the learning environment and help us support each child more holistically. Together, we create a space where children feel safe to explore, confident to express, and inspired to grow.

Let’s continue walking this path as partners — celebrating each child’s journey, supporting their unique potential, and shaping a school experience that is joyful, inclusive, and future-ready.

Teacher Induction Programme - (2025-26)

The Annual Teacher Induction Program of National Centre for Excellence is a cornerstone of its commitment to empowering educators and fostering professional excellence. Designed to upskill and equip teachers with the latest teaching practices, the program ensures that all faculty members are aligned with the school’s vision of continuous learning and teacher empowerment.

This year, the program commenced on May 7, 2025, with new teachers reporting earlier to receive additional orientation and support. They were warmly welcomed into the NCFE community, setting a positive tone for the year ahead. The Chief Operating Officer, Ms Sunalini Benjamin addressed the group, outlining the expectations and goals for the academic year.

Following this, the Principals and leadership teams from all three campuses, in collaboration with the Learning Centre, led the sessions and provided guidance. A highlight of the program was the series of subject-specific workshops conducted in partnership with IPN Academy. These workshops offered teachers valuable insights into current methodologies and effective strategies tailored to their respective subject areas.

Empowering teachers remains a core vision of NCFE, and the induction program continues to be a vital step in nurturing confident, innovative, and well-prepared educators.

Parent Orientation Programme

To foster a strong partnership between parents and teachers and to familiarize parents with the school environment, Parent Orientation Programme was successfully conducted at NCFE CVR on various dates for various stages.

The event began with a warm welcome by our Principal- Ms. Deepa R, who emphasized the importance of parental involvement in a child’s educational journey. The Principal, along with our leadership team, gave detailed presentations about the curriculum, teaching methodologies, assessment patterns, school rules, and co-curricular activities. They also highlighted the school's vision, mission, and values. The orientation aimed to help parents understand their role in supporting their child's learning both at school and at home.

Special sessions were conducted for parents of students in pre-primary and primary grades to explain the transition process and daily routines. Parents also had the opportunity to clarify doubts regarding school rules, and share their expectations.

The session concluded with an open house, where parents appreciated the school’s efforts in maintaining transparency and building a collaborative learning environment. Overall, the programme was informative, interactive, and well-received by all participants.

World Ocean Day Celebration at NCFE

Every year, World Ocean Day is celebrated on June 8th to spread awareness about the importance of oceans and the need to protect them. Oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth's surface and are home to an incredible variety of life. They provide us with food, oxygen, and even help regulate the planet’s climate. However, due to pollution, overfishing, and climate change, our oceans are in danger.

At NCFE, we celebrated World Ocean Day with great enthusiasm and purpose. The event began with an inspiring speech by our social science expert, Laya Ma’am. She spoke about the urgent need to protect marine life and how every small step from saying no to plastic to keeping our beaches clean can make a big difference. Her message truly inspired us to think about our role in saving the oceans.

Adding rhythm and joy to the celebration, our students performed a beautiful dance on a song based on ocean conservation. Through their graceful movements and expressive storytelling, they shared a powerful message: Let’s protect what we love. The performance was not only entertaining but also educational, reminding us of the beauty of the underwater world and the importance of keeping it safe.

The celebration was a perfect blend of learning and creativity, leaving us with a renewed sense of responsibility toward our planet’s blue heart—the ocean.

Let’s all pledge to keep our oceans clean and healthy for generations to come!

REGALE - Preparatory Stage

This year’s intraschool cultural extravaganza, Regale – Sustainasphere 25–26, was a vibrant celebration of talent, teamwork, and our shared responsibility toward the environment. With sustainability at its heart, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across grades, as they expressed their voices through a wide range of literary and non-literary events.

From impassioned debates and poetry recitations to expressive artwork, musical performances, and captivating dance routines, every event carried a strong environmental message, urging us all to protect and preserve our planet.

The showstopper of the event was undoubtedly the Eco Catwalk—a one-of-a-kind fashion show where students turned trash into trend. Dressed in outfits crafted from newspapers, plastic wraps, windshields, and other recycled materials, participants wowed the audience with their creativity and commitment to the cause. Each design told a story of reuse, reduce, and reimagine—making sustainability not just meaningful, but stylish too!

Sustainasphere 25–26 wasn’t just a competition; it was a movement. It inspired the entire school community to think green, act responsibly, and create a more sustainable future—while building confidence, creativity, and camaraderie among students.

SUBJECT CORNER

WHY IS MATH EVERYWHERE?

INTRODUCTION

What if I told you that you are doing maths right now? Yes, even reading this article! Math isn’t just in your textbooks or exams. It’s in the way we plan a day, measure time, cook food, play games or even decide which reel to post next. Matt is literally everywhere.

1. MATH IN DAILY LIFE

Think about this morning. Did you check the time? Thats math. Did you split a chocolate bar between friends? That's fractions. Did you calculate how many minutes till the school bell rings? That's subtraction! Even when you’re scrolling through your phone algorithms (which are based on Math) decide what shows up next.

2. MATH IN NATURE

Look at a sunflower - The spiral pattern follows the Fibonacci sequence! The hexagons in a beehive? That’s geometry. The symmetry of a butterfly’s wings that’s math too!

3. MATH BEHIND THE SCENES

Every time you watch YouTube, play a video game or send a message math is running silently in the background. It helps compress videos, send data and even keep your high score! Without Math. Your phone is just a shiny brick.

FUN FACTS BOX!!!”

The golden ratio appears in the Taj Mahal, seashells, and even the Mona Lisa! Amazon uses math to pack things most efficiently. Instagram algorithm uses linear algebra. So next time, someone says “Math is boring” - just smile because you know Math isn’t just about numbers. It’s about how our world works. It’s the rhythm of music, the shape of dreams and the pattern of life itself.
