TEACHER INDUCTION PROGRAMME

“The hardest part is starting. Once you get that out of the way, you’ll find the rest of the journey much easier.” – Simon Sinek Induction programs are crucial when it comes to educational institutions. The program is pivotal in welcoming, supporting and professionally developing new educators as they begin their careers in education. The new teachers acclimate to their new environment, understand their roles and responsibilities and integrate into the school community effectively through these programs. Vijay Kiran Group of Institutions, true to their motto, inspires excellence by providing the best scaffolding every year with their induction programs for new and existing teachers. The program for the new and existing teachers, this year, was helmed by the Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Sunalini Benjamin and aimed at orientation to school policies and programs, professional development, mentoring and support and community and culture building. The session on data-driven analysis and data-driven instructions provided powerful insight into improving student outcomes, personalizing learning and using data to support decision-making. Subject-specific expert sessions were also organized this year to offer guidance to teachers. The sessions brought in thought-provoking discussions as the teachers were guided in delivering the curriculum in the best possible manner. In conclusion, the school has empowered new and existing educators to thrive, which will in turn set the wheels rolling for a great educational experience for teachers and students alike.

PARENT ORIENTATION

"Education is a shared responsibility. It takes dedicated teachers, involved parents, and motivated students to create a successful learning environment."

The parent orientation program commenced with a warm welcome emphasizing parental involvement in their children's educational journey. The session highlighted the school’s mission, vision, and core values, reaffirming the commitment to providing students with a holistic and nurturing environment. A comprehensive overview of the school policies was provided, ensuring that parents were well-informed about the expectations and procedures in place. The event was a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect with teachers, learn about the curriculum, and get acquainted with the various programmes and new initiatives the school offers. Following the detailed briefing, the floor was offered for an open discussion, allowing parents to seek clarification on various aspects of the school’s operations. This interactive segment proved invaluable, addressing specific queries and fostering a sense of community and trust. Overall, the Parent Orientation Program was an immense hit. It highlighted the school's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive community, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th. It serves as a global platform to raise awareness and take action on urgent environmental issues that our planet is facing. Themes in recent years have ranged from biodiversity conservation and plastic pollution to climate change and sustainable consumption. They aim to inspire innovative solutions and encourage collective efforts towards a sustainable future. NCFE-CVR celebrated this special day by conducting several activities across the stages. The school held a special cycle rally to raise awareness on the vital role humans play in protecting Mother Earth. Students sowed seeds, planted saplings, created posters and placards, and delivered speeches on environmental conservation and sustainable development.

The students learned that the impact they and millions of others create drives environmental activism, influences public policy, and fosters a sense of global responsibility. This day had led to significant progress in various areas, such as the reduction of plastic use and increased recycling rates. In conclusion, World Environment Day is more than just a commemoration; it is a call to action. It challenges us to rethink our relationship with the environment, adopt sustainable practices, and advocate for policies that protect and restore our natural ecosystems. By working together, we can create a future where both humanity and nature thrive in harmony.

SO LET’S “PROTECT OUR PLANET, and PRESERVE OUR FUTURE.”

WORLD OCEAN DAY

On June 8th, NCFE-CVR hosted a vibrant and educational celebration in honour of World Ocean Day. This special day is dedicated to raising awareness about the vital role oceans play in our lives and the importance of preserving them for future generations. The events kicked off with captivating assemblies and activities by the different stages. The teachers of the Foundational Stage put on an enjoyable puppet show for the curious students. The Preparatory Stage celebrated Ocean Day with an eye-opening presentation that underscored both the beauty and the challenges faced by marine ecosystems. Informative placards on marine life were also displayed. An awareness about ocean preservation was created among the students through a video named “Why we need to stop plastic pollution in our oceans."

Students took an oath to protect the ocean and its life from plastic and pollution. For the poster and placard making activities, students of all stages were seen immersed in pasting, sketching, and painting enthusiastically.

Overall, the Ocean Day celebration was a tremendous success. It provided a unique opportunity for students to learn about the significance of oceans and inspired them to take action in preserving these vital ecosystems. The enthusiasm and dedication shown by everyone involved emphasised the importance of coming together as a community to protect our planet's oceans.
